Joy Jewellery

Hello I'm Jan, the designer and maker of Joy Jewellery, my showcase for unique and colourful jewellery. 

Following a long career in architecture and interior design, I decided to try my hand at designing and making jewellery. 

I've always enjoyed wearing jewellery and see it as a form of self expression.

Hence...Joy Jewellery was born! 

  My design training and experience of working in commercial design, has given me the practical knowledge and skills to work creativity with my hands, while my love of fashion and colour inspires my creative process.

I use poly clay and beads within my work along with 18ct gold plated, 925 silver, platinum or rhodium plated metal components.

 The wearing of colourful jewellery is a subtle form of communication and self expression. Colours also have a powerful psychological effect on a person's mood and energy levels. 

  My love of colour usage, theory and colour mixing allows me to create jewellery which is joyous, wearable and unique.
